The Beatles March 2, 2008

Matt and I watched Across the Universe last night and it inspired me to search for footage of The Beatles on You Tube. There isn’t as much as I thought there would be but I found some really cool stuff. Here are some of my favorites.

This is the trailor from Across the Universe. Very cool movie and the actors were amazing singers!

And…one of my favorite current performers, Brandi Carlile, singing the same song:

More Brandi! October 6, 2007

I just had to share two more videos from the concert the other night.

This one is the song she is basically famous for–it was the last song she sang before the encore.

And this one is part of the encore performance–so cool:

**OH NO! These videos are “No Longer Available on YouTube! I am so disappointed.**

Matt and I went to the Brandi Carlile concert at the Electric Factory on Monday night and it was one of the most amazing shows I’ve ever been to. She and her band played for a good 2 hours straight and I think both Matt and I were pretty captivated the whole time.

I checked youtube and there are some videos up that some people in the audience took, so now you all can see a little bit of what the concert was like–enjoy!

Intro and first song (this recording is a little fuzzy):

A fun story and pretty song:

One of my faves:

Some audience participation (we were in Phil’s section):

Now that I am thinking about it, the person who took these videos was sitting really close to us and you can probably hear some of my “WOO!s” once in a while. 🙂
