Please check out my friend Caitlin’s wonderful idea for her new baby girl due in April: the Virtual Baby Shower!
Creative Juices February 3, 2009
I finally got a little bit of time (and profit) to work on some new jewelry this weekend. My latest:

Whole Foods “Farmers” (Craft) Market June 1, 2008
- My table
Today was the best experience so far as to selling my jewelry to the public! Even though I only sold 4 items (plus the 2 that my parents bought after it was over) it was a fun atmosphere, outside, beautiful weather, and friendly fellow vendors. Can’t wait until next month!
I have a regular gig! May 16, 2008
My local Whole Foods is hosting a “Local Market” on the first Sunday of the month from June-October, and they invited me to participate! The first market will be on June 1 and it looks like it will be a lot of fun:
* The following vendors will have an 8’ table, table cloth, and space under the big tent provided by Whole Foods Market: Kelli Dietrich, From the Garden, Jlove Jewlery, Alice Dougherty, Occasions to Savor, Simple Bangles, Creole Soul, Poo Paw, Naturally Neil, Helen’s Pure Foods, Nature’s Inspirations, Farview Farm, Bucks County Preserves, Blackstone Studio, The Natural Baker, and Abington Art Center.
* We will have a grand opening ceremony at the first market (June 1st at 10am) with a bread breaking ceremony. Special guest, State Representative Josh Shapiro, will be here to help cut the 5’ loaf of French bread.
* There will be live music, kids activities, and grilling at each market.
Mother’s Day Craft Fair April 27, 2008
I will be selling my jewelry on Saturday, May 3, at The Eagles Nest’s Craft and Vendor Fair. Come visit!
Simple Bangles at The Eagles Nest April 20, 2008
Simple Bangles jewelry is finally for sale at a shop in Downingtown, PA! The Eagles Nest is now housing most of my pieces and I am having a little bit of separation anxiety, but hopefully this will generate more sales! It’s an adorable shop that used to be an old barn. If you are ever in the area, check it out!
Thanks to my mom for donating the table and bird cages, and for helping me today to set everything up (and navigate while I drove terribly)!
I have an AD! February 25, 2008
Simple Bangles has an ad! Check it out:
My friend Jacob designed it for me (it’s his website, too, so you should read everything on it).
The Knot January 21, 2008
Oh my gosh. The Knot is an amazing and wonderful beast. My jewelry site, Simple Bangles, was all over the local Philadelphia board today, which resulted in 252 hits to my site! Unbelievable! Then everyone started coming out of the woodwork with their “side businesses” and this new site was born by the end of the day, created by a lovely knottie veteran: Knotties Helping Knotties
This is a site basically for women planning their weddings in and around the Philadelphia area, but many of the resources can be used elsewhere. I can vouch for all of the women who run these businesses–help them become successful!
Wedding photos a little late January 17, 2008
Just a sampling of some nice wedding photos taken by various people: my mom, family, the professional, Ryan (those will be in a later post). Maybe I should wait for our anniversary to post these, but I’m sure I’ll forget by then.
These two were taken by the ever so talented Adair Fincher. I see great things in her future.
These are mostly taken by my mom and other family members.
More to come…maybe I should post once a month until our anniversary in April!
P.S. If you can see and you like my jewelry, go to my website, www.simplebangles.com. I’ll make it for you!
NEWer Jewelry “Website!” January 11, 2008
So the website I built through my Mac will expire in less than a month unless I pay lots of money and sign up for a special account. I’ve been searching around the internet trying to make a similar website using free tools and sites, but nothing was really working the way I wanted it to. So, because I love wordpress so much, I just made a new blog and turned it into my Simple Bangles website. It isn’t as professional-looking, but it’s a work in progress and so far I am content with how it is. You can still access it through www.simplebangles.comor through simplebangles.wordpress.com.
