So, this morning I slipped and fell flat on my face while I was walking in the rain. Literally, flat. I was covered in muck from my neck to my ankles and I scraped my hands. My chin hit the sidewalk but miraculously I didn’t break anything and my face wasn’t scratched (although a nice bruise is forming). Luckily I was only two blocks from home so I stumbled back and Matt helped me to clean up before I went to work. I didn’t think anything of my wounds but my mom came over after I got home from work and she REALLY cleaned me up! Obviously Matt and I don’t know much about first aid. She came prepared with everything a hospital carries. I was fascinated. Did you know that your skin actually bubbles and fizzes when you pour hydrogen peroxide on an open wound? I didn’t. But now I do! Here are my scraped hands and all of the first aid products and bandaging courtesy of Mom. Thanks, Mom!

Poor Erin! I’m glad you didn’t have to go into work a mess like that. Your Mom is the best– I love her. Sometimes I think I should steal her from you and Andrew and make her my Mom. Haha.
Get in line, Adina!
I’m still worried about that right hand!!! I’ll have to have a look see tomorrow.
