Tamagawa Taiko April 13, 2008

My family and I love going to the annual Philadelphia Cherry Blossom Festival’s “Sakura Sunday,” because we love o-hanami and sakura, but also because the Tamagawa drummers and dancers from Tamagawa University’s Performing Arts program perform every year. The first year they came to the festival, 2003, they performed at Temple, but they’ve gotten much “bigger” and more popular since then! Here are some images, and a short video, of today’s show.

I also got some good shots of Mayor Nutter, who was there for the tree planting ceremony.
