Whenever I think of Ireland, I mostly think of the adventures I had and people I met there. A particular adventure that always sticks out is when I decided to climb Mt. or “Croagh” Patrick in Westport, County Mayo. There is a lot of history behind this mountain, and it is most known for the 40 days and 40 nights that St. Patrick spent there in 441 A.D. and supposedly banished all of the snakes from Ireland. I wrote a story about my experience climbing “The Reek” and the colorful people I met there, and it is posted here on Helium. I wish I could post some of my photos but I took them all before I had a digital camera.
